Women in Tech and VC Are (Finally) Building an Old Girls' Club

Mallory Contois is the Founder and Moderator at the old girls club (OGC), a virtual community for executive women in tech and venture. She is also an angel investor, startup advisor, founder coach, and the COO at Metafy, a platform that enables the best players in the world to monetize their talent through 1:1 coaching and courses.

With the OGC, Mallory is building a gathering space for talented women in tech and venture who are committed to giving and receiving non-performative, authentic, and practical support. The OGC provides an active and receptive Slack channel, publishes a weekly newsletter, and promotes hiring from within their community.

In this episode…

To be taken seriously, women in tech are often expected to appear as if they have it all figured out. This can create unproductive and performative relationships, as well as an immense pressure and strain on their mental health. Mallory Contois experienced this herself and decided to take action by starting the old girls club, a space for women in tech and venture to share their struggles and support one another.

In this episode, Jess Galica welcomes Mallory Contois to the show to discuss many of the challenges and expectations facing women in the tech and venture spheres. Listen as Mallory shares the different successes the OGC has helped launch and the value it creates in supporting women in tech through the hardships they encounter.
